    ·      Character's Background:

    ·      Truth be told... He wasn't born like this in his current state. In fact, he was born as a perfectly normal vampire - born and raised in 1700's England. As a child, he and his little brother Henry, were raised by wealthy, yet traditional parents raising their boys to be the peck of perfection. Though Benswell had always have a fascination with the evolution of interesting inventions and science, it was one of his most favorite of past times. During one of his past times, while he was building something, an accident occurred that caused an explosion – damaging his one eye. Though the scars may be healed, but the damaged left him half blind. But that still didn’t stop him since. As time went by, he wanted to attend a school among humans, which his parents disapprove of, but he still went regardless just to get out and moved in to London. After years of education, he later got his degree and became a professor in his field of the science world. In the Victorian era, that is where he met a human woman by the name of Rose that made his hollowed heart beat. They started out as friends before eventually started to developed feelings for each other and eventually, fell in love. Though the happiness didn’t last long when Henry found him and told him of the news of an arranged engagement their parents planned for him. Their plan was having Benswell take the hand of a wealthy vampire heiress. And that they were about to tell him the news when he returns home. This sort of news angered Benswell. Just when he'd found his love, now his parents want him to be sent away to marry off someone else of no or little knowledge about. So he decided to come back home, and Henry was right - as soon as he came back his parents told him that he is marriage arranged which an argument infused. But in a more quite settling way controlling his temper, even though he was upset that they did this behind his back. And just when he was about to tell them off – his “fiancé” arrived! In person, just to meet him as a surprise. So as they were left alone, they hang… A bit to get “acquainted” with each other. She was immediately head over heels for him, but the feeling wasn’t in return on his part. So… He took matters into his own hands and turned down the engagement. And what’s even more was that he was brought in by the Vampire Council for his peculiar behavior. For as far as they know, they heard of rumors of a “certain” vampire being very close of their food source. And, even heard as to go far as “sleep” with one. And he bluntly said that he’d rather “be” with a human, than his own kind. This lead to the punishment for his behavior…. The removal of his wings. Little did he know that a certain jealous Heiress overheard the rumors and decided to “get rid” of the competition… After the ordeal he went through, the unfortunate happened.

On one fateful night, Rose was murdered. News of her death spread fast and upon hearing it, he grieved deeply and resolved himself to take the path for revenge. He managed to track down the ones who killed her, but found out through one of them that they were just hired hands paid to kill the innocent woman. It wasn’t until then that he’d found out that the real culprit was the Heiress. When she came to visit him and mentioning something about “comforting” each other in a rather peculiar manner. That was when he finally had it. He packed his things, heading out leaving England. To get away from his family, the selfish heiress… Everything! And after he left, he vanished! So it is rather unclear where he was for all those years or where he was. All he wanted was to get “out of there”! He didn’t come back home until he became a soldier at the time of World War II. After the war ended, he returned home as a war hero, but the memories of the carnage left him mentally haunted by that. However, this lead to a happy reunion with his little brother.

 

 So the two moved on to America to travel. Meeting new people and befriended some American monsters along the way – including an unlikely friendship with a certain Voodoo Man. But over time, the brothers began to go their separate ways. And for Benswell, as bittersweet as it was, he needed a change of pace. His first job involved working at a toy store-like factory where he was given the task of crafting children’s toys. Though later the factory caught on fire and shut down their business. So he sets out to look for something until a certain friend of his, who knew of Benswell’s past of being a professor, recommended him to a school that he is currently teaching at. One of the employees he was acquainted with, a young panda lady, wanted to go along with him to this new school. With nowhere else to, they headed out to go sign up for this new school.

 

    ·      Miscellaneous Info:

- Benswell takes supplements as substitutes for blood when food source is scarce. But I guess he prefers it that way. (Going all vegan and all :U//shotabit). And he has a "special" sweetener or sugar he uses for his tea called "Blood Sugar". What it is is human blood in sugar form. [link] So I guess you can say that this is a perfect way to fool someone into thinking its "colored" sugar.

- The metal silver, gives him a rash. :U If he touches it with his bare skin, he gets it. XD So you can just say he’s allergic to it.

- When you first meet him, he will only introduce himself with his last name, not his full name. As explained before, he doesn't like his first name for various reasons. The only ones who knew his true name are his family and dead fiance.

- According to him, he is part Romanian from his mother’s side. But he’s mostly an Englishman. (Benswell: Smashing, isn’t it….. =n= )

- For a vampire, has pretty strong control over his urges. For the most part.

- His favorite book series - is “Sherlock Holmes”

- Has Rose’s engagement ring around his neck so that everyday he would never forget her.

- He still has his uniform from WW2 hanging somewhere as a memorabilia. But it’s still rather a haunting reminder of what he went through. As you can probably imagine a vampire in the war and the majority of blood being spilled. And him probably lost control of his urges or trying so hard to retain himself from it.

- His wings are detachable. Since they’re prosthetics, he can take them off as he pleases, but thinks they're a pain to put them back on and off. Hence why he always has them on - except when he showers and goes to sleep. And if he has them off, well..... He won't bother putting them back on //shot Plus he also made them, along with the monocle.

Roleplay Info: My rp style kinda differs. Most of the time it's a mixture of script with a little bit of literature. I will try lit. but I can't guarantee ya a nice wall of text lol. = u =;
