*she can't hear you if you hold your breath//shot* Major Skills:
- Martial Arts/Hand-to-hand combat:she has years of experience from her previous master before coming to the academy. Sometimes her rigor mortis might kick in, but this doesn't stop this enthusiastic lil' gal.
- Jumping/hopping to great distance: She can jump and leap, like all Jiang-Shis, to up a quarter miles as well as being close to 20-30 feet. At least that's what she thinks how high she goes lol.
- Inhuman strength: Since becoming an undead, she gained the ability to lift up to 1000 pounds, but not a ton lol. Combine that with her martial arts is double trouble for her opponents. Minor Skills:
- Contortion: Since she was a contortionist in her previous life, she'd never stop from bending over into unnatural positions.
- Making others happy/cheering them up: Coming from the circus, she'd do her best in making people happy by either doing her circus performance or helping out anyway she can.
- Observing for clues: Despite being oblivious and bubble-headed, she can come off surprisingly pretty observant like how her detective brother would be. Personality:
Bubbly || Cheerful || Social || Kind || Protective || Energetic || Loyal || Oddball ||Enthusiastic || Positive || Caring || Pacifist (but will fight if needed to) || Optimistic ||
This little undead girl is upbeat, quirky, bubbly, friendly and a caring oddball with a big heart, a child-like personality and highly positive attitude look on life. She's a social little butterfly and likes to meet new people and learn new things. She's also a tough little cookie and will fight to protect her only family or friends, but only needed to as she is also a pacifist. Likes:
+ Martial Arts
+ Hanging with friends
+ Meeting with new people/Socializing
+ Doing/showing her contortion/double jointed work
+ Martial Arts Movies
+ Cute things
+ Strange things
+ 20's music (reminds her of the time era she was in before she died)
+ Mainstream/Modern music
+ Plushies Dislikes:
- Those that hurt her family or friends
- Her rigor mortis slowing her down
- Seeing those she cares - family and friends, get hurt
- Her talisman burning/ripped/wet (she's somewhat afraid of that)
- Thinking about hurting others/losing control if her talisman is off (she afraid to find that out, but it happened one time but it was a blur to her) History:
1910 - 1925:
Jinmei was once human before she became a Jiang Shi. In her past life, she was found abandoned as a baby one night when a bunch of Chinese circus performers were out celebrating from a successful show, when one of them found the baby and took her in. Thus, they raised the girl in the circus life and let her be involved in assisting performances while training her. Until she was old enough to perform on her own. As she grew older, she became more noticeably successful from performance to her solo performance. Making her circus family proud of her. Things were all well as she even dreamt of one day performing in other places outside of China with them. Places like America… Unfortunately, those dreams didn’t came true when police found her body in a river when she didn’t come back home one fateful night. This sort of news grieved the whole staff and planned a proper funeral for her. Though strangely enough, just before the funeral, the coffin that contained the dead girl – disappeared! This not only left the grieving baffled, but the police as well as they try to solve of what happened…
1982 - PRESENT:
Her coffin was suddenly rediscovered by an old Taoist priest named Qian Zhao, who resurrected her back to life - but as the monster she currently is. Though thanks to the talisman he placed on her head, she was able to gain back her ability to talk and reasoning. But she was in such a state of shock and confusion that she had no idea what to do or what happened. It only hit her when she tried to walk and the sharp pain it caused her from that. Thus concluding that she is not alive anymore... She felt like she was "somehow"
in China, but seems different from the last time she checked. So she hopped to his roof to get a bird's eye-view. There she sees strange buildings that do remind her a bit of China and a red bridge further in the distance that does not look Chinese and also other strange tall square buildings. A landmark that was very foreign to her. The old man told her she was not in China anymore, but "China Town," San Francisco. As well as the year – which also added another shock factor upon her. She felt like that she have lost everything – her circus family, her life… Everything. Seeing her expression, Qian suggested she stayed with him if she wishes to learn to adjust to her new environment. She was a bit hesitant at first, but later on agreed. During her stay, she met with Qian’s 2-year-old grandson, Sam during one of his visits. Visit after visit, the two began to bond and later in life – she became unofficially adopted. 30 years later, her English became strong and the little boy she befriended with grew up a man and moved in with him. Since her old master the grandfather passed away. One day, when Sam came back home from his detective work, and after receiving news that his department is moving him to the city of Cadance, he received a strange enveloped letter directed for Jinmei only, while he was looking through some mail. He showed this to her, and when she opened it, it was an invitation for her to attend at a school called “Monster Academy.” The sound of her attending a school got her excited. And with Sam’s approval, they packed their things and head on their way there so she can attend the school while he settles in the city. Perhaps in this school, she’ll meet others just like her. But who knows what she’ll come across…
UPDATE: Since her stay in the school, she has made alot of friends along the way, including meeting some interesting teachers and some challenges. And she'll be looking forward of what's coming next! Mini Monster Facts:
Jiang Shi, also known in the West as the “Chinese Vampire,” are reanimated corpses from Chinese folklore. In contrast of their European counterparts, these zombie-like creatures are known to travel by hopping due to rigor mortis setting in, drinking “qi”, life energy, instead of blood like the tradition vampires do. And the paper talisman that is placed upon their heads with inscriptions, courtesy of a Taoist priest. How the person can become one is when the victim dies of a violent death, suicide, drowning, or improper burial/buried alive. Which the soul fails to leave the body, clinging onto it making it alive again – even though the body itself is already dead. RP Info:
My rp style kinda differs. Most of the time it's a mixture of script with a little bit of literature. I will try lit. but I can't guarantee ya a nice wall of text lol. = u =; RP Example: sta.sh/0159qdtd99n8 RP Schedule:
Since I've started school and will be working here pretty soon, I'll usually be in the chats by day and the rest through night most of the time in chats. I will be appearing less on Wednesdays and Fridays though. And sometimes notes work but I tend to forget about them sometimes lol = 7 =;
